There was an entry-less interlude of a couple days in this journal. What does that mean or might it be an indication of?

Nothing, necessarily. But I've been working on something major. Something which if I had never written anything else, would be the best thing anyone has written. I could say that about all of these works of fiction, but I'm saying it about this one right now.

So I was doing that. The story was composed on Friday. Then it doubled in length on Saturday, with all of that length coming from the insides out; that is, the beginning stayed the beginning, the end. Then it got longer again in working on it Sunday, yesterday, and today. The structure is unique. It's called "By Water," and it destroys, in quality, everything else out there. Examples of this will be forthcoming.

There's really no insight to be gleaned, though, from there being seven entries on here in a day or none. There may be seven entries and I'm writing as much formal work as I ever have on a given day in my life. This may be feeding that. In part. Or I may have composed a formal work and that took all my energy--or enough of it; nothing, to date, has taken all of it--and I said, "Okay, that's enough for now."

Publishing people and pretend writers don't like any of this. It makes them very unhappy. He wrote like 4000 words on that blog and 6000 words for a story and a feature?

I know. It's upsetting. If you're one of those people, you could try harder. Not like that will make a difference. You are what you are and I am what I am. And what I'm becoming. Because every day I'm more than I was the day before.

There's this one guy--we'll get to him--who's this sexual harasser, another quid pro quo Lorin Stein-type (in that Steinian way), and really bad at writing--does the same boring thing again and again and relies entirely on a hook up for everything in his career--and he has a Substack, where there have been no entries for like six months. And when there had been an entry in the past, it was same boring crap, as it would have to be, because it's all this person can do.

I've monitored this, and he's picked up over a thousand new subscribers over those six months.

So 1000 plus people are paying the sexual harasser...not to write. In effect. As part of the bullshit way of how it works with these types of people. Says it a lot, doesn't it?

By the way: A huge mistake was having done everything to me before I did a single thing to anyone. Because then there was nothing left to do to me or withhold from me.
