Don't bother with the moderation thing

Just accounting for some fitness. This will mostly be unexciting.

These are awful weather days. Heat warning days. Swampy, gross. People like them. I don't. I'm an autumn and winter man.

Pretty poor efforts from me on the fitness front, but still out there during these days, too. The Monument was closed today because of the heat index. They didn't bother to open the door of the museum at the bottom to let people know. I even knocked. There was a family waiting to go in, so I gave them the skinny. Still, you don't even come out and say what's going on? And normally when the Monument itself is closed because of weather that little museum is open (there's a bigger one down the hill and across the street).

So I just ran 1200 stairs at the Connecticut gate. Did 100 push-ups. Walked three miles. Did 100 push-ups and ran 1000 stairs at City Hall yesterday, and another 100 push-ups and 3000s stairs at City Hall the day before that.

I abhor this weather. This whole time of year. I'd cut it out of the calendar if I could.

Eight bottles of pure unsweetened cranberry juice--that's the straight from the bog variety--was delivered today. It was cheaper. This is for my heart, of course.

Health tip: Don't bother with the moderation thing. Just get rid of whatever that thing is. It's easier. Red meat--done. Alcohol--done. Fuck it. Just get rid of it. Then you're not all, "Oh, should I or shouldn't I" or "How much can I have."
