Dandelion tea--grassy but good.

"Dandelion" by the Rolling Stones--under-appreciated. The Rolling Stones were good at what I think of as Restoration courtier rock. John Wilmot on recorder! No one's going to get that. Oh well.

I think I'm going to phase out bread.

My niece Lilah is turning eight soon, so I sent her a present today! She loves to read and she loves gymnastics so while this wasn't quite gymnastics, I got her a book about the stories behind classic ballets (Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty) because I wanted to share my love of ballet with her and the stories are cool for someone who likes to read. The book is for eight-year-olds! Perfect. I feel like I made a good choice.

I have been plodding today--only did 100 push-ups on the fitness front--but I have created a lot. That doesn't count this record. I write in these pages between the other things and in free moments and to keep the fingers loose.

"NFL draft expert": oxymoron. There are none. NFL draft talk is almost never interesting. There's no need to have it. But my goodness can you get dumbasses to bite on NFL draft talk.

The Celtics-Bucks game last night featured only two free throws and none for the Celtics. Also crazy, and a record. Did someone have a bus to catch?

Got an inexpensive ticket to the BSO's morning rehearsal of a program of Mozart and Brahms next week.

Some lines of Wilmot:

Were all my body larded o’er,

With darts of love, so thick,

That you might find in ev’ry pore,

A well stuck standing prick

In every pore! That's a lot.
