My buddy/niece Amelia is graduating from preschool! (Query: Are we going overboard with graduations these days? Answer: Obviously. But, this is my buddy, so I wanted to send her something. And it's a big deal to her.)
My buddy is also a smart ass who talks a big game. She will say, for instance, that our mutual friend the Little Ghost Girl is not real, but you can tell she doesn't really believe that, which amuses me much.
And she is real anyway. How else would Amelia have gotten a card from the both of us?
Allowing that the LGG's note is hard to read--she is, after all, a ghost who lives alone in a school on my street with appropriately ghostly handwriting--this is what it says:
Deare Amelia,
I'm glad u don't have to do preschool again. Soon u will b the age i will forever be. We should have a party
Love your BFF
Little Ghost Girl
My life is so horrible and it would be much easier to give up, but this made me laugh out loud in the cafe today as I was filling the card out after buying it in the CVS next door.
