Steeling

Saturday 3/16/24

Picked up the night guard yesterday afternoon at the dentist in West Medford. Wore it for the first time last night. Woke up with a headache this morning, which was discouraging, but hopefully that was just a matter of adjusting to this new thing and it will ultimately end up helping with the problem, and worst case scenario it will stop me from grinding my teeth as a I sleep.

Because I take the commuter rail to the dentist, I often end up having to wait upwards of an hour for the train to return to me to Boston. Yesterday I came out of the office, flying down the street, because it was a couple minutes after the train was due to arrive, but they're often late, and this one was at that. Eight minutes late. Which meant I had time to go to the Dunkin' Donuts across the street and acquire three bags of the Midnight coffee--which can be hard to come by in Boston, because most Dunkin' Donuts shops don't have any bags of coffee available--and then step back outside right as the train was pulling in. Depressingly, this is about the best thing to have happened to me in years.

Ran 3000 stairs yesterday and did my 100 push-ups. Went to Trader Joe's to get things for my new dietary approach. Basically, I'll only eat it if it's good for you.

The site is a mess. The links still aren't up, there's that new section to get in place, the subscribe option doesn't work in at least one place, the Books section isn't complete, the News hasn't been updated in like five months, and so on. I found more errors/problems yesterday. I am getting organized with all of it and will be speaking to the webmaster shortly after I type up a detailed list.

I'm getting all of my things in order. With writing, projects, people and places that need to go up here in this record, the site, and so forth. There is going to be a lot coming and a lot happening. That's actually in part what some of this physical stuff has been about. Steeling myself and being ready to dig in.
