Thoreau’s journal, which he wrote between the years 1837 and 1861 and regarded as the work of his lifetime, totals two million words, or 7000 pages, in length.
Samuel Pepys’ diaries, written between 1660 and 1669, total 1.25 million words.
This journal, began in summer 2018, now totals four million words.
During that same time frame, 500 short stories have also been written.
This leaves out the books, features, op-eds, essays, etc.
Five years.
